To validate this health guarantee, the Buyer MUST have this kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of this contract (which is considered valid on date of delivery). If the veterinarian certifies in writing that the kitten has a serious incurable health problem or defect, the kitten and the written veterinarian statement must be returned to the Seller within 72 hours of contract for refund. Vet bills and all other debts incurred on behalf of this kitten are the responsibility of the Buyer. The Buyer is also responsible for returning the kitten to Shawn or Cheryl Cook at their expense. Should the Buyer neglect to take the kitten to a veterinarian for this examination, the Buyer accepts immediate and full responsibility for its health. Seller does not guarantee against fleas, fungus or mites as these are very treatable and so common in Persians that the Seller feels unable to guarantee against them; however, we will never knowingly place a cat or kitten with fleas, fungus or mites. Seller also believes this cat/kitten to be genetically sound and will be replaced with another cat/kitten, if the cat/kitten was examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of the date of sale, should it die of a genetic defect within one year of date of purchase. Said genetic defect MUST be evident in a necropsy provided by the Buyer.
